Intro

We have set-up PRESTO for you so that you can hit the ground running and begin working immediately. We have given structure to your company by creating some suggested teams and roles, all you need to do is add your people and allocate them to the relevant team and role. We have created suggested macro and micro processes within each of those teams, and have included an example process checklist within the twenty-two process to give you a flavour of how you can leverage PRESTO's framework to make the management of your operating model more efficient.

Please review and carry out each of the 4 exercises below with your company. Videos with explanations and detailed cheat sheets have been provided. If you get stuck, reach out to us at anytime! Once you completely understand how to manage the below four topics, you are ready to become a true PRESTO champion by leveraging your finely-tuned business operating model to identify and launch improvement initiatives.

Staff & Teams

Expected completion time: 4 min.

For your convenience PRESTO has been populated with 5 teams:Finance, Commercial & Procurement, HR, Business Management & Governance, Sales & Marketing, and Operations & Delivery.During set-up you can add your staff to these teams or delete these and create new teams should you wish. Teams and Staff are created and added from the main PRESTO dashboard. It is important that when staff members are being created that they are assigned to a team by way of identifying their supervisor. If the team and/or supervisor where you would like to allocate the new staff member is not yet created, you can assign them to a pre-existing team and go back later to re-allocate them once their future team is ready.

Roles

Expected completion time: 3 min.

For your convenience PRESTO has been populated with 5 roles:Head of Finance, Head of Commercial & Procurement, Head of HR, Head of Business Management & Governance, Head of Sales & Marketing, and Head of Operations & Delivery.During this step you can allocate the staff you added in step 1 to these roles, alternatively you can create new roles should you wish. Roles are created and added from the main PRESTO dashboard.

Expected completion time: 7 min.

PRESTO enhances visibility into your operating model by cataloguing your processes by team, giving you greater visibility into where and how value is delivered to your clients. For your convenience PRESTO has been populated with 9 macro processes and 22 micro processes. You are free to use these should you wish, alternatively you can add / amend / delete processes as required through the main PRESTO dashboard. Once your processes are catalogued, you can add further detail and functionality by capturing each process step into PRESTO's online checklist manager. In addition you can also explore PRESTO's document management functionality by adding documents to your business processes or checklists so that you can always find them when you want them.

Projects & Issues

Expected completion time: 7 min.

Whether you are delivering strategic change, continuous improvement, innovation projects or just fighing fire (aka issues), the ability to view, govern and manage them all in one place is a fundamental necessity for modern businesses. The PRESTO PMO (Project Management Office) Cockpit captures your portfolio of business improvement projects, here you can add and manage new projects by type and key success factors for ease of management and reporting. PRESTO also supports unlimited types of project milestone frameworks; for your convenience we have already added 3; issues, PDCA, and DMAIC. You can of course amend these or add more should you wish. In addition you can also explore PRESTO's document management functionality by adding documents to your projects so that you can always find them when you want them.
