First phase of fail-fast, fail-forward innovation mentorship program complete at Alvis of Ohio
Continuous Quality Improvement the Alvis way
Alvis (alvis180.org) is a 400+ employee non-profit human service agency that serves nearly 8,000 men, women, young adults and children in Ohio each year in criminal justice re-entry and family support programs, behavioural health, and substance abuse treatment services.
Summary
Since November of 2020 we have been Alvis's partner of choice in bringing structure and discipline to their newest innovation initiative through our fail-fast, fail-forward continuous improvement mentorship pilot program.
Having recently created a Continuous Quality Improvement Team, Alvis contacted us to assist in the setup, training and launch of their 'CQI Team' consisting of 5 individuals responsible for company-wide ongoing change management & process optimisation program.
Together the Alvis CQI team, we have integrated into their training program a rich set of Lean-friendly methodologies together with our software as a service offering allowing each team member to digitally catalogue business processes and their interdepartmental touchpoints while capturing, analysing and communicating waste reduction opportunities to the executive management team.
Furthermore, by way of our automated PDCA module, we have trained each team member to effectively launch process optimisation opportunities found during waste identification workshops with the business teams while automating the standard, repetitive tasks of their daily business using our PDCA kanban board. " The value from the TOPP TI consultants and their continuous improvement platform PRESTO PDCA is a truly unique offering that is unmatched by other vendors pushing their CI products and services in the market "
As of May, the first phase of Alvis's Fail-fast, Fail-forward innovation launch is complete and we are delighted to partnering with Alvis for the long-term. Coming up in Q3 of 2021, it is expected that the know-how acquired by the CQI team will now be shared as the core team will begin supporting many of the business divisions who were present in last month's Executive Steering Meeting where the CQI Team was successful in presenting the results achieved together with our team and our CI platform PRESTO PDCA.
