Mapping Process Touchpoints
(aka Handoffs) using the
SIPOC Workbench
The Process Touchpoints feature, also known as SIPOC (Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs, Customers), provides a comprehensive workbench for mapping the inputs and outputs of each process. This feature is crucial for identifying key handoffs and understanding the relationships between different process elements. By completing this exercise, process owners can gain valuable insights into where continuous improvement opportunities exist. However, it requires that the organizational structure and key external relationships (clients and service providers) have been properly set up. With SIPOC mapping, companies can enhance process visibility, improve coordination, and drive process optimization initiatives.
