Reinventing (re)insurance by creating new synergies

Comprising a direct insurer and a reinsurer, the Insurance Group is ideally structured to offer complete insurance and reinsurance services for a wide range of risk exposures and business activities across the globe.

Summary

Since July of 2021 we have been working with a Luxemnbourg-based insurance company in the assistance of putting a sustainable digital structure to the newly established Project Management and Process Orchestration Governance Program. By way of our enterprise business management software-as-a-service solution Presto PDCA, we are delighted to report ongoing achievements in multiple areas of operational excellence and digital transformation innovation that our teams have jointly brought to market since our successful product launch in 2021.

This summer we completed our first proof-of-concept exercise focusing on process orchestration and conducted within the Human Resources Department with the assistance of Pricewaterhouse Coopers of Luxembourg.

The P.O.C. (proof-of-concept)

Being a process-focused organisation, flexibility and out-of-the-box thinking were core principles when agreeing the first process orchestration test pilot's core objectives and approach.

The proof-of-concept was conducted over a 4-week period within the Human Resources Department under the supervision of the Project Management Office (PMO). In addition to testing software usability and functionality, the team collectively identified a rich portfolio of product enhancement opportunities that resulted in the launch of an additional enterprise-wide continuous improvement product development initiative

By way of the online training showrooms designed and tested by the core project team, two work sessions were all that was needed to train the Human Resources Department to be completely independent using PRESTO's interface

Results to date

1 monthly process orchestrated

The monthly salary payment process owned by Human Resources consisting of 35 process steps was scheduled and governed via PRESTO's process workflow kanban

4 users trained

4 users were all that was needed to ensure all core information was captured and reported correctly

85% time savings!

Considering each process step and all the offline file management used to support each, PRESTO allowed for all of this to be completed in one easy-to-access place and in a much safer manner
