Root Cause Analysis
The Root Cause Analysis feature in Presto PDCA empowers users to delve deeper into KPI performance issues, identifying underlying causes and developing targeted improvement strategies. Once root causes are identified, they can be linked to specific KPIs and used to generate Pareto charts, which prioritize the most significant issues for management review. This structured approach to problem-solving ensures that performance improvement efforts are data-driven and focused on the most impactful areas. Root Cause Analysis not only helps organizations understand why KPIs are not meeting targets but also provides a clear path for corrective action, leading to sustained performance improvements.
Assigning Root Causes to a KPI
In order to perform root cause analysis & Pareto reporting,
root causes must first be assigned to each KPI
In the following example, we will assign some common root causes to a pre-existing KPI
1. Select team
2. Access the KPI Workbench
3. Select KPI
4. Access the Root Cause configuration panel
5. Assign pre-existing (pre-identified) root cause to KPI
6. Access the list of pre-configured root causes from the drop down menu
7. Select a root cause group from the drop down menu
8. Select a root cause for assignment
9. Assign root cause to KPI
10. Root causes are now available for assignment
EXTRA - Creating New Root Causes
