Quick Wins - Step 3 of 9

Activate
Feeder Users.

Give staff members, service providers and clients a simple way to feed information into Presto without giving them access to the full dashboard. Feeder users participate through secure Push Email links and the TaskConnect or KPIConnect two-way feedback panels.

The simple definition

A Feeder user contributes to Presto without living in Presto.

Feeder licences are designed for people who need to provide useful information to your managers but do not need the full Presto dashboard experience.

Think of them as lightweight contributors.

An administrator can activate a staff member, service provider or client as a Feeder user. They do not sign in and work from the normal Presto dashboard like Administrators or standard Users. Instead, Presto reaches out to them through Push Email when information is needed.

PLAN
Feeder licence availability depends on your subscription.

The number of Feeder licences available to your organisation is determined by your Presto subscription type. Administrators should review their available licence allocation when activating larger populations.

How it works

Presto asks. The Feeder user replies. Your dashboard updates.

Requests can be triggered automatically by configured workflows or pushed manually by a manager when an update is needed.

1

Presto sends Push Email

The user receives information about a task, project or KPI together with a secure link to respond.

2

TaskConnect or KPIConnect opens

The Feeder user sees a focused, user-friendly feedback panel rather than the full Presto dashboard.

3

Information feeds back into Presto

The project manager or KPI owner receives structured information directly against the relevant record.

Why managers use Feeder users

Collect the information you need without creating more admin.

Feeder users are particularly valuable when managers need structured updates from larger groups of people who only interact with selected tasks, projects or KPIs.

1

Share a task list

Send a group of people the tasks assigned to them on a project or issue.

2

Request task commentary

Ask for a quick progress update, explanation or comment on an open task.

3

Ask for an estimated delivery date

Collect an expected finish date from the person closest to the work.

4

Share a document link

Distribute a document or supporting link to the people assigned to a task.

5

Request a KPI result

Ask for a pending number such as hours worked, injuries, output, defects or another KPI result.

6

Capture KPI commentary & root causes

Ask contributors to explain an underperforming KPI and provide root cause analysis figures and commentary through KPIConnect, giving managers structured data for accurate, up-to-date Pareto reporting directly from the Presto dashboard.

One-step setup

Activating a Feeder user is intentionally simple.

If the person already exists in your contact or staff structure, the administrator only needs to assign the appropriate Feeder licence.

How to activate

Change the person's licence type to Feeder.

Open the relevant staff member, service provider or client contact record and select the Feeder licence type. Save the change and the person is ready to participate through Push Email, TaskConnect and KPIConnect.

1
Assign the Feeder licence and save. That is all that is required for this Quick Win. The next time the person is included in an eligible Push Email workflow, they can receive and return information without entering the full Presto dashboard.
KEY
Feeder users are designed for participation, not navigation.

They only need to understand the simple Connect panel presented to them in the email workflow. Your project managers and KPI owners remain in control of the dashboard.
