Archiving Teams.

Remove an organizational team only when its structure and historical footprint are no longer required.

Archiving a team is a high-impact administration action normally reserved for Super Administrators or IT Administrators. Unlike relocating a team, this does not simply reposition the organizational unit. It removes the team from the dashboard structure together with the records and historical footprint associated with it.

This is a Super Administrator / IT Administrator function for a reason.

Archiving a team has a much broader impact than archiving an individual staff member. The organizational unit disappears from the active dashboard and the historical records associated with that team are removed with it. Confirm that this is genuinely the intended outcome before proceeding.

Step 1

Open Team Actions for the team you intend to archive.

Start from the Organizational Chart and open the Team Actions panel for the specific organizational unit that is being considered for removal.

Access Team Actions

Start with the exact team you want to remove.

Locate and select the team in the Organizational Chart, then open Team Actions. The same Team Actions entry points used when relocating a team are used here.

  1. 1
Select the correct team Confirm the organizational unit before opening any destructive administration command.
  2. 2
Open Team Actions Use either highlighted Team Actions entry point to open the team's administration controls.
CHECK
If the team only needs a new reporting line, do not archive it.

Use Move Team when the team should continue to exist elsewhere in the organizational hierarchy. Archive Team is for removal, not relocation.

Step 2

Select Archive Team from the Team Actions panel.

The Archive Team command is deliberately separated from everyday team-management functions because of the impact of the action.

Archive command

Choose Archive Team only when removal is intentional.

From the Team Actions slide-out panel, select Archive Team. This begins the final removal process for the selected organizational unit.

  1. 1
Verify the selected team one more time Make sure the open Team Actions panel belongs to the team you genuinely intend to remove.
  2. 2
Select Archive Team Presto will display a final confirmation before the action is completed.
STOP
Do not use Archive Team as an organizational clean-up shortcut.

If the team, its work or its history still needs to remain available, reconsider whether relocation or another structure-management action is more appropriate.

Step 3

Confirm that you really want to delete the team.

Presto asks for an explicit final confirmation before completing the archive/delete action. Treat this as your last governance checkpoint.

Final confirmation

Pause and validate the consequence before clicking OK.

The confirmation message asks whether you really want to delete the team. Click OK only when the removal has been reviewed and approved. Select Cancel if there is any uncertainty.

  1. A
Read the confirmation Use this moment to verify that a complete team removal is the intended outcome.
  2. B
Click OK to proceed The team is removed from the active organizational structure together with its associated historical footprint.
  3. C
Click Cancel if unsure Return to the Organizational Chart and review the team before taking any further action.

Team Removed The team and its historical footprint are no longer represented on the dashboard.
Before You Archive

Understand what is being removed.

Team archiving should be treated as an organizational-governance decision rather than routine housekeeping.

Organizational Structure The team is removed from the active Organizational Chart and dashboard hierarchy.
Team History The historical footprint associated with the organizational unit is removed rather than preserved as an archived team record.
Associated Records Records belonging to the team are affected as part of the complete team-removal action.
