Password.

Managers and Administrators can create a customised password for a member of staff directly from the user's Manage Contact panel, then use the password reset control to distribute the new access credentials.

A simple administrator command

Use this when a staff member needs a new password.

Password administration comes after the user's License Type, Hierarchy and Module & Dashboard Permissions have been configured.

Manager-controlled reset

Use the Manage Contact panel when an Administrator or Manager needs to create a customised password for a user or staff member and distribute the updated login credentials.

Different from self-service

This job aid covers resetting a password for another person. The next page explains how an individual user can reset their own password.

Step 1 - Access Manage Contact

Start from the Organisational Chart.

Reuse the same contact-management route used during License Type Configuration: locate the person in the Org Chart and open their contact record.

How to open it

Select the user, then choose Manage Contact.

The password controls sit inside the user's Edit Contact Information panel. Begin by opening the relevant person's record from the Organisational Chart.

  1. Locate the relevant user or staff member in the Organisational Chart.
  2. Click the three-dot menu on the person's Org Chart card.
  3. From the Team Details panel on the right, click Manage Contact.

Use the same Manage Contact route introduced during License Type Configuration.
Step 2 - Reset the password

Create the new password and send the reset.

Once the Edit Contact Information panel is open, the password controls are located in the User Access & License area near the bottom of the record.

Two actions

Enter the password, then send the reset.

Use the Password field to create the customised password for the selected user, then use the Send Password Reset control to complete the password administration action.

01
Enter the customised password.

Use the Password field inside the User Access & License section to enter the new password for the selected user.

02
Send the Password Reset.

Click Send Password Reset after the password has been prepared for the user.

KEY
Use password administration deliberately.

Confirm that you are editing the correct staff record before changing password access, and distribute the new credentials only to the intended user.

Next: help users manage their own password.

Administrator-managed password resets are only one route. Continue to Reset Your Own Password for the self-service process available to individual users.
