Administration • Security & Permissions Administrator Only

License Type
Configuration.

Presto provides four license types, each designed for a different level of participation and responsibility. This job aid explains the differences and shows authorized Administrators and Managers where to access a user's license configuration before moving on to hierarchy and module permissions.

Administrator Formerly Supervisor PLUS: full company, strategy, contacts, Dashboard and updates.
Manager Dashboard access with limited strategy/contact administration and update capability.
User Limited Dashboard access without administrative responsibilities.
Staff / Feeder No Dashboard access; updates work through TaskConnect and KPIConnect.
The four Presto license types

Choose the license that matches how the person will participate.

License Type is the first access-control decision. It establishes the user's broad operating profile before Hierarchical Visibility & Workability and Module & Dashboard Permissions are configured.

01

Administrator

The broadest license profile shown in the comparison. This license was formerly called Supervisor PLUS and provides access to company global information, Operational Excellence strategy settings, contact information, the Dashboard, and TaskConnect / KPIConnect updates.

Broad configuration + Dashboard + update capability
02

Manager

Provides Dashboard access, Operational Excellence strategy privileges, limited contact-information capability, and the ability to provide project and KPI updates.

Management access with more limited administration
03

User

Designed for people who need access to the Presto Dashboard but do not have administrative responsibilities. Users can participate in the day-to-day management of work and performance within the access granted to them.

Dashboard access without administrative responsibilities
04

Staff / Feeder

Intended for users who contribute updates through TaskConnect and KPIConnect without normal Dashboard access.

Where to configure a user's license.

The two screenshots below show the click path used by authorized Administrators and Managers when assigning or changing a user's license type.

Before you assign access

Choose the license first - then configure the user's reach.

License Type establishes the user's broad access profile. Once the correct license is selected, continue through the Security & Permissions learning path to configure Hierarchical Visibility & Workability and then Module & Dashboard Permissions.

Administrator sequence

1. Select the right License Type → 2. Configure Hierarchy → 3. Assign Module & Dashboard Permissions.

KEY
License Type is only the first layer of user access.

Do not assume that selecting Administrator, Manager, User or Staff / Feeder completes the user's security configuration. The next job aid explains how Hierarchical Visibility & Workability determines how far through the organisation the user can see and operate.

Next: define the user's organisational reach.

With the License Type established, continue to Hierarchy Configuration to determine how high the user can see and how high they can work through the Presto organisation.
